PCMS SWIM TEAM PLACES 1ST AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The Princeton Community Middle School swim team competed at the Junior High Swim Championships on Saturday, January 7th at Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio. The Vikings recorded 657 combined points to finish in first place in the Small Division.
The girls team finished in first place with a total of 244 points.
Individually, Grace Abrams won a pair of individual events. She won in the 50 Yard Breaststroke and 25 Yard Breaststroke with times of 38.86 and 17.50 respectively.
Seynabu Ndoye won in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 31.32. Ndoye also finished in second place in the 25 Yard Butterfly event with a time of 15.20.
In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Ella Hiles captured first place with a time of 2:59.75. Bailey McDaniel finished in third place in the 100 Yard Backstroke, with a time of 1:43.22.
Taya Wilson placed third overall in both the 25 Yard and 50 Yard Butterfly events with times of 16.48 and 38.02.
On the boys side, the Vikings tallied 293 points to finish in first place.
Cole Walker won a pair of races in the 25 Yard Backstroke and 50 Yard Backstroke with times of 16.45 and 36.58 respectively.
Dylan Martin finished runner-up in the 25 Yard Backstroke with a time of 18.18.
Tommy Benjamin placed second in the 50 Yard Freestyle (29.57), and third place in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:17.38.
In the 25 Yard Freestyle event, AJ White placed first overall with a time of 12.87. In addition, Jacob Senter and Jack Betz finished third and fourth place with times of 13.38 and 13.46.
AJ White and Nathan Calvert placed second and third overall in the 100 Yard IM.
Princeton's combined 200 Yard Medley Relay of Tommy Benjamin, Grace Abrams, Seynabu Ndoye, and AJ White finished in third place. The Mixed 200 Yard Freestyle Relay of Tommy Benjamin, Seynabu Ndoye, Jacob Senter, and AJ White placed third overall.
